KASA - PASSWORD MANAGER
This extension for Chromium-based browsers like Chrome and Edge saves your login credentials encrypted on your device and fills them in automatically when you revisit a website.
No accounts, no servers, no tracking. Everything stays in your browser.
Core Features
- Auto Save: Your username and password are saved automatically when you log in or sign up on a website.
- Autofill: When you revisit a saved website, the username and password fields are filled in for you.
- Multiple Accounts: If you have several accounts on the same website, click the login field and pick the one you want from the list.
- Strong Encryption: Every entry is encrypted with
AES-256-GCMbefore it is stored. - Easy Management: View your entries grouped by website, search, edit and delete them from the extension popup. Passwords are hidden by default and hide again automatically 15 seconds after being revealed.
- Export / Import: Back up your entries as a JSON file and move them to another browser.
- Sign-up Form Detection: Avoids autofilling on registration pages by mistake.
- Bilingual: Works in Turkish if your browser language is Turkish, and in English otherwise.
How It Works
- Install the extension and log in to a website as usual. Your credentials are saved.
- On your next visit, the login fields are filled in automatically.
- Manage all your entries from the Kasa icon in the browser toolbar.
PRIVACY POLICY
At "Kasa - Password Manager" ("Extension"), we prioritize your privacy and data security. Our extension does not collect, transmit, or share any of your data. Everything is processed and stored locally in your browser.
1. Data Collection and Usage
The extension handles the following data only to provide its single purpose, which is password management and autofill:
a) Locally Stored Data
The website addresses, usernames and passwords you save are stored only on your own browser using Chrome's chrome.storage.local API. Usernames and passwords are encrypted with AES-256-GCM before they are stored. The encryption key is generated in your browser, kept in the browser's IndexedDB and is never sent anywhere. This data never leaves your device and is not accessible by us.
b) Network Requests
Kasa does not connect to any external servers to fetch or send data. It does not use analytics, advertising or tracking tools. It operates entirely locally on your machine.
c) Exported Files
If you use the Export feature, the extension creates a JSON file on your device that contains your entries in plain text (unencrypted). Please keep this file in a safe place and delete it when you no longer need it.
2. Permissions and Justifications
Our extension requests the following permissions in the manifest.json file:
- "storage": Required to save your encrypted credentials locally in your browser.
- "unlimitedStorage": Required so that users with many saved accounts are not limited by the default local storage quota.
- Content script on all websites (
<all_urls>): Required to detect login fields on any website, save credentials when you log in, and fill them in on your next visit. Page content is never sent anywhere.
3. Data Security
Kasa does not sell, share or transfer your data to third parties. It does not use your data for any purpose other than password management and autofill, and it does not use it for advertising or credit-related purposes. Your entries remain under your full control, and you can edit, export or delete all of them at any time from the extension popup.
4. Contact
For any questions regarding the extension, you can contact us through our contact page.
